8 Professional Wrestlers Who Lost Real Fights To Ordinary People
Many professional wrestlers are trained in martial arts and other forms or fighting. There are occasions that professional wrestlers have to use their skills off camera to protect themselves from fans and normal people. Here are 8 incidents where professional wrestlers were challenged by and lost fights to everyday people.
1. Shawn Michaels
In 1995, Shawn Michaels hit on a woman who was dating a Marine at the time. The Marine and his friends attacked Michaels.
2. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
Roddy Piper was attacked by a man who stabbed him mere inches away from his heart. The man apparently trained his daughter to be a distraction while he went in for the attack.
3. "Classy" Freddie Blassie
Blassie claimed he was wounded after being stabbed at least 21 times in his career. There has been no corroboration of these incidents, but he did die claiming that it was true.
4. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman has appeared in many independent promotions such as Ring of Honor. He is a star on the rise that is worth paying attention to, but shockingly an unknown hoodie-wearing attacker recently hit him.
5. Randy Orton
In 2013, on a WWE tour in South Africa, a fan ran into the ring and attacked Orton with a low blow. He was too shocked to comprehend and react to what was happening.
Raven was charged by an unexpected attacker from the audience, when in the ring giving a promo. He was on the receiving end of several blows before the security staff were able to remove the attacker and calm the situation.
7. Lio Rush
In early 2016, Rush was attacked by an unknown assailant after a show promoted by Pro Wrestling Empire. Rush said the attacker "jumped him," and all he could remember about the assailant's identity was that they were wearing a burgundy hoodie.
JBL had been provoking Styles for most of the tour and Styles defended himself by punching him in the face. JBL apparently hid in his hotel room after, probably to hide his black eye.
