20 Things You Should Never Put In Your Microwave
Heating food with your microwave is so convenient, but there are bad sides of the easy result, especially when it comes to certain things. If you don't want to destroy the item, or worse, cause explosions, you should never put these things in your microwave! Read on to find out.
1. Frozen Fruits
If you simply warm up frozen fruits with the microwave but not using the defrost function, it may create carcinogens that cause bad effects to your immune system. It's best to let them warm up naturally under room temperature.
It's not harmful to heat the margarine itself but to put it in with the original container. Always remember to remove it into bowls or jars before heating.
3. Ice Cream
The same situation goes to ice cream. When some people want it to defrost immediately for certain uses, they may put the container in the microwave. It will make the delicious snack into something toxic, so it's best to let it sit for a few minutes before eating.
4. Pizza Box
Metalized or imprinted pizza boxes are not made for microwave heating. It's okay to put non-metallic (with paper bottom) ones for reheating in the microwave and oven.
5. Sealed Food Jar
